Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo is an Indian Bengali mystery-thriller film, directed by Pratim D. Gupta. The film starring Ritwick Chakraborty, Paoli Dam and Goutam Ghose is an investigative thriller where a journalist evolves into a detective while trying to pursue a story about a film star. The film was released on 16 August 2019.
Plot
Ritwick Chakraborty plays Shantilal, a deadbeat weather reporter at a Kolkata newspaper, who is in his late 30s, still unmarried and lives with his mother. Paoli Dam plays the glamorous Nandita, an ambitious movie star, who now wants to venture into politics. When their worlds collide, we have a rollercoaster adventure ride from Kolkata to Chennai to Singapore. By the end, a new detective is born – Shantilal.
